Transcription: Between 1987 and 1988, the Iraqi government restored the walls of Nebuchadnezzar's southern palace. The railing in the foreground marks the boundary of the original procession street as it passed through the city of Babylon. The entryway into Nebuchadnezzar's primary palace led into one of the three main courtyards. These courtyards, flanked by the dwellings of other court officials, were the administrative center of the Babylonian Empire. Daniel lived here, and Nebuchadnezzar held court here.
